FOODLINKB2007-11-16-1195255954.jpgFoodlink and the Salvation Army are bringing hope for the holidays to families in need. They've partnered with Tops and Martins for their Hope For The Holidays campaign.

You can donate a dollar when you check out at any area Tops or Martins...and you drop off non-perishable food items in blue barrels at the front of every tops store. Foodlink's founder Tom Ferraro says now is the best time to help out this holiday season.

"With the cost of gasoline and the energy going up the way it is, trying to accommodate the ongoing emergencies as well as trying to make the holidays brighter for folks, it's a great time and opportunity for people to give that dollar or bring some food here or at their place of worship," says Ferraro.

Friday students from Jefferson Road School and area organizations ran a turkey trot outside tops. Tops and Martins have donated 300 turkeys to help families this Thanksgiving.
