Fatal accident in Mendon

mendonax2007-11-12-1194924113.JPGOne person was killed Monday night in a traffic accident on Route 64 in Mendon.

Monroe County Sheriff's Deputies were called to the scene around 7:30 p.m. at Route 64 and Boughton Hill Road.

They say the driver of a car failed to stop at a stop sign on Boughton Hill Road, slamming into an pickup truck travelling on Route 64.

Three people were in the car: one of them was killed and two others were seriously injured.  The driver of the truck was also seriously injured.  The three injured people were taken to Strong Hospital.
