Man accused in Florida Deputy's death has ties to Rochester

A man charged in a brazen shooting of a Florida Sheriff's Deputy, has a connection to Rochester. According to the Miami Herald, suspect Michael Mazza had been living in Coral Springs Florida but is originally from Rochester. Michael Mazza, 40, a career criminal, was being taken to his latest trial when he shot the Deputy. Police say Mazza managed to overpower Deputy Paul Rein and kill him. Mazza is now facing life in prison.
