Work begins on Smith Street Bridge

The Smith Street Bridge is down to one lane in both directions. Maintenance work is being done on the north side of the bridge.The bridge was inspected shortly after the deadly bridge collapse in Minnesota earlier this year. Traffic will be reduced to two lanes of traffic for construction until December, 2009. Drivers should expect some delays at either side of the bridge between Lake Avenue and St. Paul Blvd. during this time.
