Another lawsuit filed over FAIR plan

FAIRplan2007-10-29-1193704078.jpgAnother lawsuit has surfaced over Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks' FAIR plan.


A group of taxpayers and teacher related unions are suing the County Executive and the County Legislature.


The FAIR plan cuts suburban schools' share of local sales tax revenue as a way to fix the county budget crisis.

The suit alleges that not only is the plan "unfair".. but the way in which it was passed violated the open meetings law.


This lawsuit joins the one suburban school districts filed last week.
