A funeral for Kaitlin Charity is being held in Long Island this morning, where the college student is from. The 20-year-old was hit and killed on I-390 in Groveland Saturday morning. She was an English and Secondary Education double major at SUNY Geneseo.
Classmates of Charity have created a group on facebook.com in memory of her. This is also where students organized a trip to attend Charity's funeral. They have chartered a bus and are on their way to Long Island for the services.
The Livingston County Sheriff's Office is now asking for your help in finding some of the people who may be involved in Charity's death. They have released a composite sketch of the couple who police call 'persons of interest.' Officers say they believe the man on the left was driving a silver or grey SUV north on I-390. Police say they think the woman was riding in the passenger seat. They also believe there was a teenage girl in the back seat.
Police say Charity was struck by three vehicles after she got out of her car minutes after being pulled over for speeding. They have located one of those vehicles and its driver, but they are still searching for two other vehicles. Police are reviewing security video from the nearby salt mine and from a car wash in Geneseo -- where the SUV was allegedly seen after the accident.
