Serious head-on crash in Sodus sends two to hospital

Police say the cars were driving in a 55-mile-per-hour zone, when they came to the top of the hill and were unable to avoid each other. Donald Porter, was cut out of his car and airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital. The 60-year-old from North Carolina underwent emergency surgery. This morning he is in satisfactory condition. The driver of the other car 57-year-old, Dr. F.W. Margos-Mahros from Williamson was taken to Rochester General Hospital. At last check, Margos-Mahros was in serious condition.
