A peace garden now marks the spot behind the Campbell Street Recreation Center where 15-year old Stacey Long was gunned down two years ago. On Saturday, Long’s family and dozens of friends gathered to remember the teen and ask for help in finding his killer.

“We don't know anything about who did it to him.  We haven't a clue.  We need someone to call in and help us get the perpetrators who did this to my son,” said Patricia Long.

The rally comes as the city of Rochester is in the midst of a crack down on violent crime. This week four people were arrested and charged in connection with two murders.

Paul McFadden of Pathways to Peace hopes someone will come forward. “What were hoping is that two years later, and the fact that it has been a while, that people inside of the community have been able to come across information that will be able to provide some kind of justice for this family,” said McFadden.

Stacey Long was one of 54 people killed in Rochester in 2005. Already in the first ten months of 2007 there have been 41 homicides. For Patricia Long every killing is a grim reminder of her son.

“It's heartbreaking everyday when I hear someone has gotten murdered, I already think about Stacey, but it just makes me want to cry even more because somebody else’s child has been murdered out there on the street,” said Long.
