Brian Campbell and Tim Connolly had a goal and two assists each to lead the Buffalo Sabres past the Atlanta Thrashers, 6-0, at HSBC Arena. Derek Roy and Ales Kotalik both added a goal and a helper for Buffalo, which posted its first win of the young campaign. Ryan Miller, meanwhile, stopped each of the 20 shots he faced to post his first shutout of the season and fifth of his career. Opposing goaltender Kari Lehtonen yielded five goals on 20 shots before being pulled for the Thrashers, who have yet to pick up a win this season.
