High honors for local Emergency Manager

Congratulations are in order for a local man due to receive the highest honor of professional achievement in his field.
Operations Manager John Cassin, of the Rochester/Monroe County Emergency Communications Department has been awarded credents as a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) by the International Association of Emergency Managers.
Of the 3,200 emergency managers across the US, there are only 1,118 who have reached the certification designation. The designation is awarded based on a point system, with points being awarded for experience, education, training, service, leadership, and participation. Cassin will travel to Reno, Nevada in November to receive his award.
