The Dalai Lama is bringing his message of peace to Upstate New York.
Today he will be holding an interfaith session called "Prayers for World Peace" at a downtown theater in Ithaca.
The leader of Tibetan Buddhism spoke to nearly six-thousand people at Cornell University on Tuesday.
"No matter what the circumstances, remain full of optimism, full of self confidence, always remain fresh. I think that is very important, " said the major world figure when asked how one could lead a happy life.
On Friday, the Dalai Lama will travel to New York City, where he will discuss his teachings at the Radio City Music Hall.
