Tentative agreement reached between U of R and SEIU workers

uofr2007-10-08-1191859972.JPGWith contracts due to expire at midnight, employee and management negotiators at the University of Rochester reached a tentative agreement late last night on new employment terms covering over 1,400 service workers at U of R campuses and at Strong Memorial Hospital. The settlement capped a 14-hour bargaining session. Details of the proposed new contracts will be made public next week, after SEIU union members have had the opportunity to vote.
