Arrest in murder from 31 years ago

Pressler_James2007-10-03-1191427867.jpgRochester police are holding a press conference at this hour to announce an arrest of a murder from 1976.

James Pressler, 64, was taken into custody at his home in Big Pine Key, Florida.

Police say they used DNA to link Pressler to the murder of Michelle McMurray, 7, in April 1976.  McMurray was found dead outside her apartment building on Jay Street.

Pressler is beind held on murder and sex assault charges.  He is awaiting extradition back to Rochester.
