No more kids ruling

scalesofjustice2007-09-28-1191020972.jpgA judge's ruling ordering a local woman to stop having children is illegal...that today from the state Appeals Court.


Nearly three years ago, Stephanie Pendelton, who was then homeless and addicted to drugs, was accused of neglecting her four children. Monroe County Family Court Judge Marilyn O'Connor ordered her to not have anymore kids. But Friday, the state appeals court announced that ruling was illegal.


Pendleton's attorney says she is now drug-free, married and living in the suburbs.
