thruway-tolls2007-09-25-1190740259.JPGTolls on the Thruway may be going up. Thruway officials say they are considering raising tolls by 20 percent over the next four years. The reason? Slower than expected traffic growth due to high fuel costs.

The tolls were last raised in 2005.

The proposal will go to public hearings then be voted on later this year or early in 2008.
