Xerox is opening its first new facility at its Webster plant in 20 years.
The 60 million dollar toner plant is a first of its kind, energy efficient facility. It will produce E-A toner which produces sharper images using less toner per page and is already used in more than a dozen Xerox products.
The five story, 100,000 square foot plant will be staffed by more than 40 engineers and will increase Xerox's capacity for toner by 175 percent.
The new green facility is part of Xerox's commitment to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions 10 percent by 2012.
