Police catch suspect who robbed Citizen's Bank

tops_bankrobbery2007-09-14-1189796426.jpgRochester and Gates police have caught the suspect who allegedly robbed the Citizen's Bank insde Tops supermarket on West Avenue in the City of Rochester. The incident occurred at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.  The man walked into the bank, demanded money and then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. It is not known whether the man is armed. 

According to Rochester Police, the suspect took a taxi from the Citizen's GATESSTANDOFF2007-09-14-1189805536.jpgBank branch to a Motel 6 on Beull Road in Gates. After a full search of the approximately 100-room motel, police determined the suspect escaped shortly before officers arrived on the scene.  The suspect was apprehended aound 3:45pm Friday.
