MIAMIPROJECT2007-09-13-1189701215.jpgOne of the more incredible sides of the Kevin Everett saga involves the Miami Project to cure paralysis. One of its major financial contributors is Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson.


The Miami Project invented the treatment that was used on Everett early and doctors say it could be why he may one day walk again.


"By everyone's expectations he was gong to end up in a wheelchair permanently. He had the same injury as Marc Buoniconti's basically. And because of all the circumstances, he’s had a remarkable recovery, what we call a spectacular recovery," says Miami Project president Dr. Barth Green.


The Miami Project was founded in 1985 by three people who had dealt with spinal cord injuries. The best known...pro football hall of famer Nick Buoniconti whose son was paralyzed during a football game.
