Red Cross in dire need of type-O blood

The Red Cross is in dire need of blood, even advising hospitals to postpone all non-emergency transfusions for patients with types O-negative and O-positive blood. This advisory is in effect through tomorrow. The Red Cross is urging public to donate blood to prevent future blood shortages. Blood drive hours have been extended through this Sunday.
