Three hospitalized after crash in Ogden

We're learning more about a serious crash in Ogden yesterday. According the Monroe County Sheriff's Department, 81-year-old Elinor Daniels of Florida was driving eastbound on Rte 31 when she was hit head on by a car driven by 26-year-old Daniel Podgers of Holley. Podgers has been charged with failure to keep right, and aggravated unlicensed operation.
An 89-year-old passenger was in the car with Daniels at the time of the accident. All three were taken to Strong Hospital where they are listed in stable condition.

well i am the man who was driving that crumpled up red piece of metal that once was an operating vehicle. I would like to thank all the men and women who saved my life on that life changing day. I would like to warn people of a danger that I learned the hard way that day. When the men tried to get me out of the car they couldnt because i had a full size cooler behind my seat and the force of the impact made it so they had to cut the roof off of the car to get me out, thats what you see in the video when it pans off to the side, the roof of my car. Also I would like to apologize to the women that i hat that day i have never gotten the chance to. Im sorry that I hit you that day. The glare of the sun made it so I couldnt see the curve in the road. The accident left me with a fractured hip, my spleen was smashed when the steering wheel tried to go through me and was removed, and my patellar tendon on my left leg was cut pretty badly. I hope the women are alright I never got to meet you
