The moves correspond to Tuesday's transactions when starting free safety Ko Simpson was placed on injured reserve and defensive end Eric Powell was released.

Scott, who was a second round pick of the Atlanta Falcons in 2003, played last season with the New Orleans Saints in a reserve role. During his time in Atlanta, Scott played in 47 games and notched 201 tackles and four interceptions.
