WEGMANSCARES2007-09-11-1189544306.jpgA grocery store giant teamed up with the Town of Greece to help build a place for children to play. Today Wegmans employees came out to put the finishing touches of the Columbus Park expansion.

Wegmans provided some of the equipment and mulch to the area. Employees say it feels good to work for a company that cares about the community.

"I started working for Wegmans 21 years ago and it wasn't until I started in the community connection program that I realized how generous Wegmans is,” says Beverly Mankau.  “It's great to know that you're working for a generous company."

Wegmans donated more than $15,000 to help finish the playground project.
