Eastman Theatre renovation

What was once a dream of George Eastman's will soon be a reality.

The NY State Assembly awarded a $5,000,000 grant to expand the Eastman Theatre by adding a new building for teaching and performance spaces.

That's on top of an additional $8,000,000 awarded by the state in March.

The estimated total cost of the project is about $35,000,000.
Construction is expected to begin next summer.
