Marcia Kosanke watched the televised memorial of the girls who died in a car crash in June. She was moved by Hannah Congdon's friend who spoke about going outside of their "comfort zone" on a class trip to India last year to help orphans with the nonprofit group, “Joining Hearts and Hands.”
Kosanke held a scrap booking event where the proceeds will go toward an effort to build a school for orphans in rural western Kenya in memory of Congdon.
Kosanke hopes to raise about $500.
