News 8 Now has learned the case of an alleged gay bashing will be presented to a grand jury in the next month.
We first broke the story back in June. A group claims they were attacked by four people on South Goodman Street using anti-gay slurs. They then claim the police officers who responded did not allow them to file a report and physically abused them.
The RPD conducted an internal investigation and the chief concluded some officers may have acted inappropriately. While three of the alleged victims were arrested, none of the so-called suspects were.
The district's attorney's office says a grand jury will determine if charges will be filed against the four suspects.
