Rochester firefighters spent at least 8 hours putting out a house fire on the city's west side last night. The single alarm fire at 211 Sawyer Street broke out just after 10:30pm on Sept. 4, 2007. Emergency dispatchers tell News 8 Now firefighters battled the blaze as an "external operation," meaning they did not go inside the home. No one was injured in the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
