brightonbreakins2007-08-30-1188515364.jpgWe have an alert tonight about a rash of car break-ins in the area around Ellison Park. Brighton police tell News 8 that about 15 cars have been broken into in the last month.

Police are stepping up patrols in parking lots at the park. Purses, credit cards, wallets, and other items have been taken out of cars. Police are asking park goers to make sure car doors remain locked.

So far, there are no suspects, and anyone who spots anything suspicious is asked to call 911.
