pamela_edwards2007-08-29-1188408076.jpgA desperate plea tonight from the family of a missing Ontario County woman. 56-year-old Pamela Edwards disappeared from her family's cottage on Honeoye Lake on the morning of August 18th. The family is exhausting all efforts in hopes of finding her.

"It's like she disappeared," says Elizabeth Dinehart, Pamela’s mother.

Pamela Edwards’s family is searching for answers. The 56-year-old left her family's cottage on the morning of August 18th. Left behind was a note saying she'd gone for a walk.

"She left without any ID, without her purse, without her contact lenses which she always wore - just a pair of glasses," says Pamela’s sister, Laurie Gleason.

Edwards has battled depression and was recently released from the hospital - but her family says it still doesn't account for her sudden disappearance. They believe someone may have picked her up along the rural roads of this lake.

"Please call, nothing will happen to the person if they did give her a ride, if they did drop her off somewhere just let us know that she's safe," says Elizabeth.

Her family has set up a website - findpam.com - in hopes of spreading the word of her disappearance.

"It's going to be two weeks this Saturday since Pamela left the cottage and we haven't had one solid tip, no phone calls, no nothing," says Laurie.

This coming weekend will mark and annual tradition for this family - a clambake where they come together to celebrate, however this year the mood has changed as they focus on finding Pam.

"I need support and I think it's a wonderful way to get it to continue on with the tradition."

Laurie says, "We left the decision up to Mom, she said she'd feel better if everyone was here, we could discuss what's been going on and brainstorm a little see if anybody else has any ideas."

For now this family is left waiting, hoping and praying.

If you have any information on the disappearance you can log on to findpam.com
