The Phillies were sparked yesterday by the return of one player from the disabled list.
All-Star second baseman Chase Utley returned to the Phillies lineup on Monday after missing 28 games due to a broken bone in his right hand and went 3-for-5 with a home run and two runs batted in to help his club to a big 9-2 victory over the Mets.
The victory pulled the Phillies to within five games of the National League- leading Mets and also helped the club keep pace in the wild card race.
