Tall tomato plant

A Rochester man has grown a monster tomato plant that's taller than a basketball hoop.

Stephen Vetri has a knack for growing monster plants. He says the secret is growing them from seeds.

This towers above them all...a tomato plant measuring in at eleven feet, four inches.

"I don't know anyone, I don't hear anybody has more than 11 and a half feet tomato plant, this is the only one," says Vetri.

The plant actually falls well short of a world record. A fertilizer company once grew a tomato vine 65 feet tall.

Some time back, we caught up with Vetri to check out zucchini he grew...measuring in at several feet long.
