FAIRPORTMUSICFEST2007-08-27-1188228046.jpgMusic filled the streets in Fairport Saturday.

Fairport's 3rd Annual Music and Food Fest featured 17 local bands while local restaurants showcased "A Taste of Fairport" selling samples of their signature dishes ranging from frozen coffee to pulled pork to lobster rolls. Children's activities are free and include face painting and clowns.

"The reason why we're out here is all the proceeds from this benefit the Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong," said Rob Burch, co-organizer.

Last year, the event raised about $30,000.
