American Idol tour in Rochester

It's been 3 months since the American Idol finale and tonight fans will finally get a chance to see their favorite contestants in person on stage.

The American Idol fans are just flocking here to the Blue Cross Arena. Thousands of people young and old are coming to see the American Idols live in Rochester.

Tonight Jordin, Sanjaya, Blake, Lakisha, Chris R. and Chris Slyde, Gina and Haley will all perform.  We had a chance to ask the idols some questions tonight. Many of them offered some advice for those who want to make it in the industry.

“Be true to yourself. Get inspired – go out and listen to other music. You know a lot of people stay at home and watch television. They only hear what’s on the radio. You need to go out and participate,” says American Idol contestant Blake Lewis.

All the Idols are working on albums and trying to get agents. They have been touring across the country and by the time it's over next month. They'll have performed in more than 50 cities.
