NY-Giants-Helmet2007-08-20-1187622602.jpgNew York lost wide receiver Michael Jennings for the season due to a ruptured Achilles tendon, as well as several others, suffered as the Giants squeaked by the Baltimore Ravens, 13-12, in preseason action on Sunday.

Jennings, who had three catches for 31 yards before the injury, was starting in place of Plaxico Burress who did not play in the game.

Rookie receiver Steve Smith caught the game's lone touchdown but left after suffering a concussion on the play for the Giants.

Two members of the Giants' starting defense left in the second quarter as safety Will Demps, who started all 16 games last season, dislocated an elbow and cornerback Sam Madison pulled a hamstring.

Also, Baltimore cornerback Samari Rolle and receiver Mark Clayton both suffered sprained ankles.
