National honors for three local schools

uofr2007-08-17-1187386162.JPGThe University of Rochester, SUNY Geneseo and RIT are all ranked among the nation's best schools in US News and World Report.


The U of R is ranked 35th in best overall college and university, Geneseo is ranked as the 2nd best public school in masters programs in the northeast region. RIT ranked 8th in masters program in the northeast.


As for national rankings, Princeton University is considered the best of the best. Harvard, Yale, Stanford and the University of Pennsylvania round out the top five. That issue is on newstands now.
