Rochester Fire Chief takes new job

A surprise announcement from Governor Eliot Spitzer's office.
Rochester Fire Chief Floyd Madison is taking a job with the state.
Madison has been appointed by Governor Spitzer to serve as state fire administrator. Madison will be in charged of the state Office of Fire Prevention and Control.
He has been fire chief in Rochester since 1999.
Madison's new salary is a $105,000 a year.
No word on when he will leave his post in Rochester.
