Adam Urbanski concerned over superintendent search process

Rochester teacher's union president Adam Urbanski does not endorse either Tim Mains or Dr. Purcell for superintendent and is raising concerns about the search process.
Urbanski says Mains is under qualified for the position and Dr. Purcell is qualified in the wrong way. Urbanski claims the district was too secretive in the interviewing process...adding that the public should have had some input before the final candidates were chosen.
“It's very unusual. I don't know of any reason you wouldn't trust the public to know who these people are and to have some interaction with them,” says Urbanski.
The board is expected to vote on Friday. News 8 was told the board may not pick either candidate and in fact, may start the search process over.
The new school year begins in less than a month.
