Elm Services was considering a move out of the City, but the City is giving them a break and helping to fund renovations to its property.

A big reason to stick around - about 40-percent of its employees live in Rochester. Elm Services President Jerry Cott says, "It keeps us close to our employees that make this business work.  This is a people business.  If you don't have innovative people that are working in a dynamic environment, you just can't succeed today."

Most of Elm's business is in upstate New York. Two of its big clients here in Rochester are Harris Corporation and the City School District.
