Attempted bank robbery on Mt. Hope Avenue

The attempted robbery happened just before 9:30 this morning. The man allegedly entered the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money. He left with no money. Police describe the suspect as a white man in his 50's with a grey mustache and dark hair. He was wearing a Yankees t-shirt, dark shorts and white sneakers. Police say he may have gotten into a grayish colored newer model Chevy pick-up truck, with a possible logo on driver's door and a ladder rack in the bed of the truck.
Anyone with information is asked call 911.
