State trooper shot in Adirondacks

Another New York state trooper has been shot in the line of duty. State police say the trooper was shot in the leg after pulling over a vehicle in Tupper Lake. That's in Franklin County.


It happened around Thursday morning. We're told the injuries are not life-threatening.


Police say the officer fired back, shooting the suspect in the chest and neck. Both the trooper and suspect are being treated at a nearby hospital.


Police have shut down the area around the shooting.
