Man killed in garage collapse

GARAGECOLLAPSE2007-08-08-1186611244.jpgA Rochester man was killed when his garage collapsed on him.


Police say the victim was dismantling a garage on Magnolia Street Wednesday afternoon when it fell down.


The victim, a man in his 50's, died at the scene.


Police say it all happened very quickly.


"It's an unfortunate situation and I don't want to second guess because we had a tragic ending, but individuals should let professional people handle this type of work because things like this can happen," said Janssen Rembert of the Rochester Police Department. 


Police aren't sure why the garage collapsed.  The name of the victim has not been released.
