"It's a tragedy, it's the worst kind, tough for everybody," said Arcade Police Chief John Laird.
It's a mother's worst nightmare, forgetting a child in the car. But, that's exactly what happened to 32-year old Lynn Brol, when she forgot about her five month old son Thursday.
Arcade police say Brol normally takes Brayden to a nearby daycare before heading just down the road to work at Pioneer Credit Recovery.
Brol went to work at eight in the morning. When she came out at five, her baby boy was dead.
"The baby was gone and there wasn't anything she could do," said Laird.
As Wyoming County's largest employer, the parking lot at Pioneer Credit Recovery is very large which may have played a part in why no employees saw the baby in the car.
"Where the car was parked in that parking lot the windows were tinted kind of dark."
At this point, no charges have been filed against the mother. But, the Wyoming County District Attorney is reviewing the case.
