Pit bull mauling in Steuben County

A six-year-old boy was found dead Sunday morning apparently mauled by a pit bull he was feeding.
It happened in the Town of Bath in Steuben County. Sheriff's deputies received a call around 11:30 a.m. for an unresponsive child. When they arrived, they found six-year-old Sabin Jones-Abbott had been mauled to death by a pit bull. Deputies say the boy was feeding a six-month-old pit bull. 15 minutes later, the child's father found his body.
The pit bull has been removed from the house.
