Democrats will not challenge Maggie Brooks

Monroe County Democrats have decided to not nominate a challenger to County Executive Maggie Brooks.

In a statement released Saturday, Chairman Joe Morelle said that the party will be focusing on making gains in the Monroe County Legislature this November. He added the decision was made "with regret."

Brooks, a Republican, was elected to County Executive in 2003.
