Attendance at the Strong Museum of Play has nearly doubled since its grand re-opening one year ago. More than 600-thousand people have visited from all over the world. That's compared to 345-thousand people a year before the expansion. President and CEO, Rollie Adams, says people have travelled from all over the nation to play in Rochester. "...folks from every State in the Union and I'm told every continent except Antarctica...we haven't see any penguins running around. "

Although the 37-million dollar expansion is complete, additions and improvements are still being made. Adams explains, "This December we're re-working the sesame street exhibit and we will have elmo's world.....shortly after labor day we have Bob The Builder coming for about a 4 month stay."

Also, work has already begun on a new exhibit slated to open next year. It's called "Down A sunny dirt road" and it's all about the Bernstein Bears. "This exhibit is liking walking into the world of...the Bernstein bears. You can experience the different environments...you can interact with them," explains Susan Trien, Director of Public Realtions at Strong.

In the future Strong plans to open a new electronic game exhibit.
