spitzer-eliot2007-07-26-1185486590.JPGGovernor Spitzer's staff will be under the scrutiny of the state ethics commission.

The panel announced today it will look into two of Spitzer's top aides, who were mentioned in a state attorney general's report. The aides used state police to try and dig up dirt on Joe Bruno, the state Senate majority leader. They've since been reprimanded.

Spitzer has repeatedly denied any involvement.
