A section of the Inner Loop is still closed following a water main break on Tuesday.

The break has been repaired, but work continues on the affected stretch of road.  The eastbound lanes from State St. to St. Paul St. are closed and crews continue to work on the problem.  The eastbound State St. entrance ramp is also closed.

City Hall is not sure how the break happened, but it said the break was not related to the five water main breaks downtown two weeks ago.

The section of the Inner Loop will reopen on Thursday.
