Daycare owner in court

benadryl_case2007-07-25-1185384407.jpgThe Rochester daycare owner accused of drugging children in her care pled not guilty in court Wednesday.


Ana Powers faces 8 counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Powers allegedly confessed to police, telling them she was overwhelmed by taking care of the children. Employees told police she spiked milk with Benadryl to make the children sleep.


Her daycare on Clay Avenue was shutdown following her arrest.
