Handcuffs2007-07-19-1184864767.jpgFairport police say a report of attempted abduction earlier this month was a hoax.

Police have charged Keyonna King, 20, with falsely reporting an incident and making a punishable false written statement.

King claimed that on July 10th, she was walking home, when two men got out of a van and grabbed her.  She claimed a passing driver yelled and the suspects took off.

Fairport police now say King made up the story for personal reasons.

King has no previous criminal history.  She issued an appearance ticket and is set to appear in court on August 9th.

Last month, a similar abduction attempt in Gates proved to be false.  A 17 year old is facing charges in that case.
