Two key proposals are moving forward in the Rochester City School District.
The first, involves tougher lead testing in city schools;
only five of the citys 52 schools are lead-free.
That measure, which has been sent to an audit committee, would force lead testing to happen on a regular basis, instead of only when theres a renovation.
The second proposal is a plan to introduce an African-American curriculum
in the district.
That plan has been met with some controversy. It is set to be voted on at Thursdays board meeting.
