Lindsay Johnson exploded for 26 points as Waterloo handled Salmon River in the Class B state semifinals with a 65-53 at Hudson Valley Community College Friday afternoon.

Chelsea Steinruck added 21 points for the Indians while Lauren Deming scored 15. The rest of Waterloo's team scored only three points.

Waterloo led by five at half. The Indians never really put away Salmon River, but the lead never got smaller than five after the break, either.

The Indians will meet Irvington for the state championship Saturday afternoon at 4pm at HVCC.
